Package Excludes

Patient Eligibility

The package is applicable for elective, uncomplicated patients. Patients with the following conditions are considered to be complex or high risk cases and will not be qualified for the package:

Patients with underlying severe medical problems that required additional treatment and investigation including, but not limited to HIV and uncontrolled diabetes

Surgical Procedure	Incision is made inside the mouth to expose angle of mandible. Triangular piece of mandibular angle is cut and removed on both sides.

Postoperative Care	You will be asked to keep your head slightly elevated for a few days. If a drain has been inserted, it will be removed in a day or two following the operation. Dressing commonly is removed in a few days. Moderate swelling is common and usually will subside within a week or two. Cold compression can alleviate swelling during first 24 hours then warm compression is applied. After surgery there isn't usually significant discomfort; if there is, it can be lessened with the prescribed pain medication.

Complications that can occur include hematoma (a collection of blood under the skin), injury to the nerves that control facial muscles (usually temporary), infection, and reactions to the anesthesia.

Prepare for Surgery

Send your e-photo scan for 3 views: the frontal, the lateral, and in between (oblique view) using dark or black background while shooting.

Inform us about any allergies, any serious medical conditions, and all medications you are taking (both prescription and non-prescription).

Avoid some medication such as aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, anti-inflammatory medications, etc. for 2 weeks prior to operation (ask your local doctor).

Prepare yourself in a good condition. Check your blood pressure and cardiac status, e.g. EKG, especially those who are over 40 years old.

Refrain from smoking and drinking alcohol 2 weeks before and 4 weeks after surgery.
