Package Includes

• Charges for other procedures or other plastic surgery procedures

Patient Eligibility

The package is applicable for elective, uncomplicated patients. Patients with the following conditions are considered to be complex or high risk cases and will not be qualified for the package:
•	Bleeding Disorders
•	Patients with underlying severe medical problems that required additional treatment and investigation including, but not limited to HIV and uncontrolled diabetes

Surgical Planning

Our goal is to augment your breasts to a size in better proportion to your chest size and maintain a natural look. The size and placement of the implant we choose will depend on many factors, such as your original cup size, your desired cup size, and your physique including chest muscle. We can guestimate your new breast size by placing the sizer under your bra and have a look. Then we (both you and me) know what size is really your desire.

Surgical Procedure

There are three techniques for placing implants.
a) The implants are placed under the breast tissue and over the chest muscle (Submammary Augmentation): This method is suitable for candidate who has a certain degree of breast ptosis. Also this procedure is the operation of choice for those who have big muscle from exercise. Implant placement over the muscle will allow a comfortable movement of implant and also a natural looking.

b) The implants are placed under the chest muscle and breast tissue: This method may reduce the potential for capsular contracture. This placement may also interfere less with breast examination by mammogram than when the implant is placed behind the breast tissue. Placement behind the muscle however, may be painful for a few days after surgery than placement directly under the breast tissue. This method is suitable for candidate who has small breast without skin and breast sagging to prevent the visibility and palpability of the implant.

c) The implants are placed under the pectoral fascia as we call “Subfascial Augmentation Mammoplasty”, but over the muscle

These three options should be thoroughly discussed between the patient and the surgeon finally.

Choice of incision for Asian is transaxilla, while Caucasian people prefers inframammary route. Still in very special occasion when transperiareolar or transumbilical incision might be chosen. Normally the surgeon will consider both the least visible scar against an optimal exposure for surgeon working.

Long-lasting, though gravity and age may eventually alter breast shape and size.

Postoperative Care

For at least three to five days upon surgery, try to keep your arm extension to a minimum. After removing the gauze dressing, you may be required to wear a support bra to help your breasts form and maintain a pleasing and balanced shape. You will probably be able to resume exercise and normal physical activities within a month or two when soreness has subsided. You are able to fly back home after five to seven days.

Road to Recovery

There will be some degree of soreness which can be controlled with pain medication for a few days. Also degree of swelling is minimum and will go away within a week or two.Patient will resume to do light works after one week.Strenuous exercise can be after 3 months.

Risk

The complication can be hypertrophic scar, bleeding, infection, seroma, sensory change around the nipple and areolar area, prosthesis displacement, implant rupture and capsular contracture. Implants may make it more difficult to read mammograms. Through a good selection of the technique we can keep these problems to a minimum.

Prepare for Surgery

Send your e-photo scan for 3 views: the frontal, the lateral, and in between (oblique view) using dark or black background while shooting.
Inform us about any allergies, any serious medical conditions, and all medications you are taking (both prescription and non-prescription).
Avoid some medication such as aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, anti-inflammatory medications, etc. for 2 weeks prior to operation (ask your local doctor).
Prepare yourself in a good condition. Check your blood pressure and cardiac status, e.g. EKG, especially those who are over 40 years old.
Refrain from smoking and drinking alcohol 2 weeks before and 4 weeks after surgery.
