Patient Eligibility

The package is applicable for elective, uncomplicated patients. Patients with the following conditions are considered to be complex or high risk cases and will not be qualified for the package:
	Bleeding Disorders
	Patients with underlying severe medical problems that required additional treatment and investigation including, but not limited to HIV and uncontrolled diabetes

Surgical Planning

The choice of procedure will depend on the degree of ptosis, the skin type, the desired to have breast augmented at the same time. Among the type of techniques, the most common procedure involves with an anchor-shaped incision by following the natural contour of the breast (periareolar + vertical incision)

Surgical Procedure

The incision outlines the area from which breast skin is removed and defines the new location for nipple. When the excess skin has been removed, the nipple and areola are moved to the higher position. The skin surrounding with areola is then brought down together to reshape the breast. Stitches are usually located around the areola in a vertical line extending downwards from the nipple area, and along lower crease of the breast. Some patients, especially those, who have small breasts and minimal sagging, may be candidates for modified procedures requiring less extensive incisions. For example, one such procedure is the "doughnut (or concentric) mastopexy," in which circular incisions are made around the areola, and a doughnut-shaped area of skin is removed. If patients having an implant inserted along with their breast lift, the surgeon will be placed in a pocket directly under the breast tissue, or deeper, under the muscle of the chest wall.

Result

Breast is aimed to sit at the good position with good shape and symmetry. Incisional scar varies with the size of breast reduction, the more the size of original breast is, the longer the scar turn to be. Your surgeon will make every effort to make your scars as inconspicuous as possible. Still, it's important to remember that mastopexy scars are extensive and permanent. They often remain lumpy and red for months, then gradually become less obvious, sometimes eventually fading to thin white lines. Fortunately, the scars can usually be placed so that you can wear even low-cut tops.

Postoperative Care

For at least three to five days upon surgery, try to keep your arm extension to a minimum. After removing the gauze dressing, you may be required to wear a support bra to help your breasts form and maintain a pleasing and balanced shape. You will probably be able to resume exercise and normal physical activities within a month or two when soreness has subsided. You are able to fly back home after five to seven days.

Road to Recovery

There will be some degree of soreness which can be controlled with simple analgesia for a few day. Also degree of swelling is minimum and will go away within a week. The drain will be placed for 2-3 days.

Risk

Bleeding, infection, scar and numbness or change in sensation. Breast feeding may not be possible after surgery.

Prepare for Surgery

	Send your e-photo scan for 3 views: the frontal, the lateral, and in between (oblique view) using dark or black background while shooting.
	Inform us about any allergies, any serious medical conditions, and all medications you are taking (both prescription and non-prescription).
	Avoid some medication such as aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, anti-inflammatory medications, etc. for 2 weeks prior to operation (ask your local doctor).
	Prepare yourself in a good condition. Check your blood pressure and cardiac status, e.g. EKG, especially those who are over 40 years old.
	Refrain from smoking and drinking alcohol 2 weeks before and 4 weeks after surgery.
