Package Includes

Preoperative consult and care

Room charges: Operating room use, Recovery room, Scrub & Circulate nurse

Accommodation for 3 days 2 nights: Room, Nursing service charges, Other service charges and meals (if allowed by surgeon)

Medical equipment and medical supplies necessary for the procedure

Anesthesia: Pre-anesthetic drug, Anesthetic Medical Gas (Oxygen, Nitrous Oxide)

Medication: Routine medication used for the procedure and during admission only

Package Excludes

•	Charges for other procedures or other plastic surgery procedures
•	Outpatient fees and expenses incurred before admission if required, e.g. EKG, laboratory testing (CBC, PT&PTT, Urinalysis, Anti HIV), chest X-ray
•	Other charges for laboratory profiles and medications not related to the procedure
•	Other charges not related to the procedure
•	Items of a personal nature such as in-room soft drinks and telephone charges will be charged at normal rates in effect

Patient Eligibility

The package is applicable for elective, uncomplicated patients. Patients with the following conditions are considered to be complex or high risk cases and will not be qualified for the package:
•	Bleeding Disorders
•	Patients with underlying severe medical problems that required additional treatment and investigation including, but not limited to HIV and uncontrolled diabetes

About the Procedure

Preoperative Condition
Anesthesia	General Anesthesia
Surgical Planning	Dental occlusion need to be assessed preoperatively. Orthodontic treatment has to be highly considered before surgical reduction of the excess mandible is proceeded.
Surgical Procedure	Incision as marked inside the mouth at the antero-inferior sulcus, in front of anterior part of the mandible. Soft tissue is lifted up of the bone. Saving down the excess mandible is carried on.
Duration of Operation	2-3 hours
Admission	3 days 2 nights
Result
Postoperative Care	Pressure dressing and cold compression is mandatory for 2-3 days. There will be a certain degree of numbness depending on the extensiveness and traction during operation. Swelling will stay for 1-2 weeks. Firm pressure is needed continuously for another 3 weeks.

Prepare for Surgery

Send your e-photo scan for 3 views: the frontal, the lateral, and in between (oblique view) using dark or black background while shooting.

Inform us about any allergies, any serious medical conditions, and all medications you are taking (both prescription and non-prescription).

Avoid some medication such as aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, anti-inflammatory medications, etc. for 2 weeks prior to operation (ask your local doctor).

Prepare yourself in a good condition. Check your blood pressure and cardiac status, e.g. EKG, especially those who are over 40 years old.

Refrain from smoking and drinking alcohol 2 weeks before and 4 weeks after surgery.
