Patient Eligibility

The package is applicable for elective, uncomplicated patients. Patients with the following conditions are considered to be complex or high risk cases and will not be qualified for the package:

The incisions for frontal bone contouring are hidden within the hair by placing them a few centimeters behind the frontal hairline. Dissection to the orbital rim can expose the frontal bone bossing . Excess bony part can be shaved down until an appropriate shape is achieved.

Postoperative Care

For at least 2-3 weeks you should limit strenuous activities such as jogging, bending, heavy housework, sex, or any activity that increases your blood pressure. Prolonged exposure to heat or sun should be limited for several months .

Road to Recovery

The recovery takes one to two weeks. Most people are back to work within a week or two. Patients may experience some numbness and temporary discomfort around the incision, which can be controlled with prescription medication. As the nerves heal, numbness on the top of your scalp may be replaced by itching. These sensations may take as long as six months to fully disappear.

Risk

The possible main risks are swelling, bruising, bleeding, infection, scarring and numbness, or change in sensation. The problem unique to this operation is damage nerves on the scalp, resulting in numbness behind the incision. Another problem is scar stretching. Because scars do not grow hair, this may be noticeable in those with thin hair. This may be treated surgically by removing the wide scar tissue so a new, thinner scar may result. Asymmetry can occur in a very rare circumstance.

Prepare for Surgery


•	Send your e-photo scan for 3 views: the frontal, the lateral, and in between (oblique view) using dark or black background while shooting.
•	Inform us about any allergies, any serious medical conditions, and all medications you are taking (both prescription and non-prescription).
•	Avoid some medication such as aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, anti-inflammatory medications, etc. for 2 weeks prior to operation (ask your local doctor).
•	Prepare yourself in a good condition. Check your blood pressure and cardiac status, e.g. EKG, especially those who are over 40 years old.
•	Refrain from smoking and drinking alcohol 2 weeks before and 4 weeks after surgery.
