Patients with underlying severe medical problems that required additional treatment and investigation including, but not limited to HIV and uncontrolled diabetes

Surgical Planning
Surgical Procedure	Lip can be augmented with absorbable filler such as hyaluronic acid.
Duration of Operation	10 minutes
Admission	None
Result	More attractive lip
Postoperative Care	Apply cold compression over lip area for 48 hours.
Road to Recovery	Swelling will be at maximum for 48 hours.
Risk	There may be a small number of cases which complication and undesirable result might arise such as bleeding, hematoma, asymmetry, and prominent incisional scar.

Prepare for Surgery

Send your e-photo scan for 3 views: the frontal, the lateral, and in between (oblique view) using dark or black background while shooting.

Inform us about any allergies, any serious medical conditions, and all medications you are taking (both prescription and non-prescription).

Avoid some medication such as aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, anti-inflammatory medications, etc. for 2 weeks prior to operation (ask your local doctor).

Prepare yourself in a good condition. Check your blood pressure and cardiac status, e.g. EKG, especially those who are over 40 years old.

Refrain from smoking and drinking alcohol 2 weeks before and 4 weeks after surgery.
