Package Includes

Preoperative consult and care

Room charges: Operating room use, Recovery room, Scrub & Circulate nurse

Accommodation for 4 days 3 nights: Room, Nursing service charges, Other service charges and meals (if allowed by surgeon)

Medical equipment and medical supplies necessary for the procedure

Anesthesia: Pre-anesthetic drug, Anesthetic Medical Gas (Oxygen, Nitrous Oxide)

Medication: Routine medication used for the procedure and during admission only

Patient Eligibility

The package is applicable for elective, uncomplicated patients. Patients with the following conditions are considered to be complex or high risk cases and will not be qualified for the package:
	Bleeding Disorders
	Patients with underlying severe medical problems that required additional treatment and investigation including, but not limited to HIV and uncontrolled diabetes

Surgical Planning

Initial assessment and look for other associated deformity is necessary. This is considered to be the sequelae of weigh loosing program or aging. So you may like to seek for other operation to done along with this procedure such as medial thigh lift, abdominoplasty, and arm lift.

Surgical Procedure

Elliptical transverse skin incision is made more or less over the upper buttock. Dissection of the buttock to pull up the thigh skin flap to approximate with the upper buttock skin edge. Redivac drains are placed, one on each side.

3-4 hours

Result

Postoperative Care

Patient will stay in bed for 2-3 days. Intravenous drip takes nearly the same period of time. Patient must refrain from diet for 1-2 days. Small tube drains are in place for about 2-3 days.

Road to Recovery

Patient suffers a bearable degree of pain under intravenous pain medication. There will be some discomfort on swelling, tube drain and catheter indwelling and sometimes nauseate for first 48 hours. Normally patient will recover after 48 hours. Patient will resume to do light work after 1 week. Strenuous exercise can be resumed after 3 months.

Risk

The main predisposing risk factor is obesity. There are several diseases related to obesity such as heart disease, asthma. Generally the operation itself may have a risk of infection, hematoma, seroma, skin necrosis or late postoperative prominent scar.

Prepare for Surgery

	Send your e-photo scan for 3 views: the frontal, the lateral, and in between (oblique view) using dark or black background while shooting.
	Inform us about any allergies, any serious medical conditions, and all medications you are taking (both prescription and non-prescription).
	Avoid some medication such as aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, anti-inflammatory medications, etc. for 2 weeks prior to operation (ask your local doctor).
	Prepare yourself in a good condition. Check your blood pressure and cardiac status, e.g. EKG, especially those who are over 40 years old.
