Rhinoplasty with Ear Cartilage

Why?

Whichever way you look at it there is one part of your face that is hard to miss at any angle and that is your nose. The fact that it is slap bang in the middle of your visage and protrudes out and defines your profile, it is not surprising that you want to be able to hold your head up high about its perfect contours. Whilst bumps, breaks and a thickly set snout can all be reduced in some way, many people want to make a feature out of their central facial feature and add a little extra with a Rhinoplasty with Ear Cartilage, using their bodies own natural resources. A nose without a sturdy bridge and a tip which is a little floppy or drooping affects the whole symmetry of the face. A nose which has an attractive tilt at the tip, and is lifted at the bridge, somehow evens out the look of the eyes, cheekbones, and mouth, giving the face character. Flat noses and flared nostrils might be the style requirements for a boxer in the ring but this nasal nuisance can also extend to nasal breathing problems which are uncomfortable or irritating at the very least. Looks-wise, improving the angle between your nose and your upper lip, adds extra beauty to your cupid’s bow too.

What?
For a natural look which does not flatten your features, the nose can be reshaped and made more prominently proud and streamlined with a silicone or gore-tex implant and cartilage from your body. Silicone and Gore Tex has long been used to augment the bridge of the nose while Ear cartilage is used because the skin is so thin at the tip of the nose and a natural material can work with the flexibility of the face, rather than being a rigid add-on. A Rhinoplasty with Ear Cartilage can add emphasis with a straight-lined face which lifts and accentuates the fine angles and shapes of your features.

How?
The Rhinoplasty with Ear Cartilage is an outpatient surgery under local anesthetic. First, your doctor will take a tiny sliver of cartilage from the back of the ear, just behind the rim. This is used for minor or more involved work on reconstructing the nose. It may also be that cartilage will be taken from both ears. In either case, you will have a tiny, inconspicuous scar from this procedure. The nose-job itself could be carried out using a closed technique where any incisions or cuts which are made are done inside the nose through the nostrils. The alternative is an open technique where your doctor will cut the skin between the nostrils, simply suturing it up afterwards. The silicone or gore-tex is placed on the bridge of the nose while the cartilage is added to the nasal tip and shaped to create the desired projection of the nose.

Who You Are
As you age your facial features can start to droop, including your nose. Whilst there are those who want to either make their noses more petite, less hooked or thinner there are also those who want to add some definition too. You might have always had a flat nose but if with age it somehow seems more pronounced then you might want to add a sharper line or some height to your central feature. As the cheeks and eyes start to show signs of ageing you might feel that your flat or wide nose makes your face look as if it is caving in. A nose augmentation gives the perception that the features around it have also lifted as well. If the tip of your nose seems weak you can perk this up too.

Who We Are
Naravee has a main clinic right in the capital of Thailand, in Bangkok. It was set up by Dr. Ronachai Komthong MD. who has trained and is certified in the United States, United Kingdom, Singapore and Thailand, with advanced training in Japan. International standard procedures are performed in modern facilities, using state-of-the-art equipment. Prior to any surgery, we offer consultations which are informative and in-depth to give you a clear idea about what to expect. We offer a real personalized service at Naravee.

Recovery
For this type of surgery, full recovery will take about a week. You will need to rest, take it easy, and have some time off. There may be some bruising and swelling but in some cases this is minor or not really apparent.

Risks
Apart from the usual risks of infection following any type of surgery, there is also the risk of a client not getting a complete replica of what they have imagined. Rhinoplasty with Ear Cartilage is not an exact science, although by looking at your nose the doctor at Naravee can give you a clear picture beforehand of what is possible and what results can be achieved.

Your first step is to find out more information. You can get in touch with a dedicated Naravee doctor through email, or telephone, or by filling out the contact form on this website.
